Our most recent adventure was becoming Godparents. What an experience. Kendra blessed this world on April 18, 2009. Her parents, Tim and Susie, are friends we made while on our honeymoon in Rio De Janerio, Brazil. Since our honeymoon the Kings and the Kushs have been inseparable! They are truly wonderful friends. The FATE that brought us four together is the FATE that made this worth while. Kendra is a miracle. She and her mom had a real hard time getting her here. If it weren't for the wonderful doctors that took care of them both, the alternative would not have been enjoyable.
Tim and Susie asked us to be Kendra's Godparents while we were in Chicago after a Cubs/Twins game. We were flabbergasted! What an honor! We couldn't stop smiling when they asked us, and they couldn't stop smiling when we told them, of course we would.
On August 9, 2009, Shane and Jodie went to Duluth Minnesota for the christening of Kendra. However, we were very nervous. The ceremony was beautiful and Kendra didn't make a sound. I believe she enjoyed it just as much as we did. We look forward to spending an eternity of love with Kendra.
