Kendra's 1st Birthday Weekend!

And Kendra turns 1!
We flew into Minneapolis on Wednesday April 14th. Tim and Susie picked us up and we headed out for cocktails! We managed to make a few rounds that night. LOL. The next day we headed to the Twins game. Yes, in the new stadium - Target Field. It was awesome. There was so much to do there! Food was everywhere and the weather was perfect. Thursday's game was a sweep! 8-0! Way to go Twins. After the game we made our way around Minneapolis. We loved Seven, the rooftop bar. That night we all sat down for a good Italian dinner. We headed to bed early so that we could get up and make our way to Duluth. On Friday Shane and I had the privilege to babysit Cannon and Kendra. Shane played golf with Cannon in the yard, while Kendra napped. Then we watch movies with Cannon. What a treat. We miss those lil guys. Friday night we cooked out and enjoyed a nice relaxing night on the couch. Saturday was Kendra's swimming party. She was wore out by the time we had to go home. There were lots of presents and lots of laughs. We had a great time. Shane and Cannon played in the water the whole time. Saturday night we hung out for a lil while, after Kendra decided to come to Uncle Shane. The highlight of the weekend. We were hoping that she would warm up to him and she did just that. She laughed and giggled and blew in his face. ;o) Shane loved it. Sunday morning we headed back to Minneapolis for another Ball game. Once again we had nice weather and the game was awesome. We toured around the Gophers campus and local pubs before we decided to do dinner at Manny's. Wow what a dinner. After that we turned in for the night.
It's always hard to say goodbye to our friends, but knowing they will be coming to Tennessee for Memorial Day makes it easier. Thanks for a good weekend you guys, we love ya!

New Years Cruise 2010

We landed in Orlando Florida on Thursday Dec 31st. Shane, Bob Williams, Pam Joy and I caught the ship shuttle to Port Canaveral. Upon arriving there, we waited patiently for Tim and Susie. Everyone made it through security fine and we were loading up the boat. It was a little breezy that afternoon, but we managed to scarf down some pizza and sail off into the sunset. That night we all rung in the new year after a great dinner and partying on the Lido deck! The guys rolled their dice in the Casino while we girls walked around the boat to check things out. When we woke up the next day we were in the Bahamas. It was a little warmer. Maybe around 65-70. We went straight to Senor Frogs where we had a couple of cocktails and lots of french fries. From there we went to Hard Rock and had a few more cocktails. After a couple there we caught a cab and toured around the island. The cabbie even stopped for us to fill up with beer. He took us to see the "hot spots" of the island and then took us to the side streets. There we found ourselves eating conk salad. Yummo! Little side, famly owned restaurants are the best ever! Twin Brothers was the name of it. We headed back to the boat to clean up and go to dinner at the Atlantis. Nobu was awesome. We ordered up some drinks, while Shane worked his magic getting us a table. And when I say drinks...I mean dirty martinis for Tim and I! EYEYEYE! Talk about kicking my tail. Whew... (that's for you Suz) Mouth watering food! Wow! It was so good, that I can't even explain it in detail. It was a bumpy ride on the way back to Port Canveral. We all tried to have dinner that night on the boat, but weren't feeling up to it. All except Susie! She had no problem with the boat swaying from side to side at 100mph! haha! Portions of the trip was cold but we made the best of it. We had a great time. The water in the Bahamas was beautiful.
